Product Research
IntelliPart automates your research effort, so it becomes consistent, repeatable (i.e. trainable) and traceable. O.E. applications are entered from microfiche or electronic sources and tied to the Vehicle tables for consistency. There is no need to "author" an application to make it fit a particular style or layout. External typesetting file maintenance costs, if any, are eliminated since data entry becomes a part of the research process. This system discipline means that you produce a more accurate, consistent and counterperson-friendly catalog resulting in fewer product returns, more brand loyalty and fewer calls to technical support lines.
Part Information
Extensive part information is stored in the system including branded part numbers, product hierarchy, product specifications, footnotes, unit volumes, standard costs, pricing, researcher notes, packaging and supersession information. All of this information can be categorized by division for security and manageability.
Medium and Heavy Duty Support
In addition to supporting car and light truck applications, IntelliPart allows parts to be applied directly to engines, axles, transmissions or any other "component" you define. This flexibility allows medium and heavy-duty applications (which might not be cataloged by make and model) as well as parts researched in more natural ways (such as bearings to an engine which could then be linked to one or more vehicles).
Part and Application Graphics
Comprehensive graphic support is offered at both the part and application level. Any number of images can be stored with the part, each with its own user defined type (e.g. line-art, top-view, thumbnail, etc.). Images may also be assigned to one or more applications. This application image, along with the coordinates for embedded part numbers, can be used with an application's "use" and "location" to produce complex catalog pages (such as required by exhaust and driveline systems).
