External Mapping

Since research efforts are often independent and specific to your needs, it is natural that your valid model table will be unique. Model names, options, product groups and other terminology is created to best fit your requirements and so will necessarily be different from other similar efforts in the industry. There have been several initiatives within the automotive industry (e.g. AAIA, CCI/Triad, NAPA) to standardize this terminology and to agree on what was actually produced by the original equipment manufacturers. In order to communicate with "external" data sources and e-cat providers, IntelliPart includes a flexible method to translate or "map" your valid model table to these external sources and users.
